Positions for the 2026 election
Blue and White is contesting the election under the agreed joint leadership of Benny Gantz and Dedi Simchi, with Gantz first and Simchi second. Positions recorded previously are retained unless a contrary line has been published, while current joint statements take precedence.
Gantz publicly rejected any compromise over a state commission of inquiry, and six members of the parliamentary group voted for the bill to establish one. The quotation and roll-call vote reinforce one another.
Blue and White’s current official statement of principles pledges to uphold judicial independence, the separation of powers, and the rule of law. No proposal by the party to curtail the power of judicial review was found.
